Welcome to Smålandet

Drive through a large moose enclosure in your own car. Experience the King of the Forestand very close up along a winding 3-kilometer forest road.

In year 2008 the road in the safari became longer. Now you can also experience the american bison.

The farm of Smålandet with is beautiful scenery goes back to the 18th century. Here you can try an elk sausage, enjoy a café latte or something else from the café, while your children can visit the goat pen and play with the goats.

The winners of Smålandets Photo contest 2011!!

First prize goes to Kent Carlson from United States in Maryland. That he wins the first prize is not hard to understand. Here he manages to capture a fabulous images with a feeling of freedom and the wild, which the moose symbolizes.

Second prize goes to Lis Nilsson from Markaryd not far from here. She has manages to capture the image of Harald during the mating period in autumn 2011 when he was crossing the road and stands in front of the car (wrong time to leave the car). If you look closely at his right antle, there is moss. This is typical mating behavior when bulls mark their territory and shows its strength by its antles.

Third prize goes to Roland Trojan from germany. The image is not unusual, but he manages to capture the tension between the man and the moose. The high quality and sharpness in the right place made the image to a winner.

The winners will be presented at our website December 15st. Send us your best pictures from your visit at Smålandet! The three best pictures will be awarded with a prize (1st price 2000:- 2nd priceprice 1000:- and 3rd 500:-) The pictures have to be sent to us before October 26th.
